DIY Setting Spray

It’s here! Back to school season. Being a third grade teacher, I spend a LOT of time in our old school building every day. Not sure what it is about that place, but at the end of every day I end up with the most oily skin and my make up melting off my face. Seven years of this is ENOUGH. I have tried many setting sprays on the market combined with various primers and foundations to no avail.  Recently I got the bright idea to try an essential oil make up spray with my Young Living essential oils. #gamechanger

The “potion” you’re about to learn how to make will seriously change your make up game forever. It’s quick, easy, inexpensive, naturally derived, and it WORKS! I top my Savvy Minerals mineral foundation with it each day and am beyond impressed with the look and the lengthy wear time!

DIY Make Up Setting Spray

You’ll Need:

-4 oz. glass spray bottle

-2 oz. filtered water

-1/2 tablespoon vegetable glycerin

-8 drops Young Living tea tree essential oil

Directions

1. Add all ingredients to spray bottle

2. Shake well before each use

3. Spray over completed make up from about 10-12″ from face

4. Let dry

5. Love looking in the mirror all day long 🙂

Rumor has it you can substitute the tea tree oil in this setting spray for frankincense  if you have normal skin, and myrrh for dry skin. Both of these oils are excellent for many purposes when it comes to skin so I’m sure this is a rumor that has been proven true! I just haven’t tested them out yet! Young Living also sells a pre-made setting spray in their new Savvy Minerals make up line as well. I have yet to try it, but plan to soon just to compare! As always, if you are interested in Young Living essential oils, be sure to contact me! I’d love to tell you more!

Let me know what you think about this setting spray if you try it out! Betcha you’ll love it!

XoXo
